This national park is located in the far western desert of Texas close to the New Mexico border. A dry, still land, it is a place of peace and solitude where you can find magnificent views and grand peaks. Don’t be surprised if a mountain lion joins you for dinner!
Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona
The Grand Canyon is one of the most visited national parks in the United States. Don’t let this deter you from visiting though as you can still find isolated campsites away from the crowds. One of our favorite places to ever visit, we recommend camping in the bottom of the canyon if you are able to see an entirely different ecosystem from the top!
Block Island, Rhode Island
Block Island is a small island off the smallest state in the United States. A quant remnant of a past time, this island holds luscious pastures and idyllic farmhouses surrounded by menacing cliffs into the Atlantic Ocean. For a more eerie side of the island, look for the Palatine Light said to be the ghostly reminder of one the regions worst shipwrecks.
Wichita Mountains, Oklahoma
Oklahoma is not flat! Surprisingly, in the Southwestern part of Oklahoma there is a mountain range filled with crystal clear streams, amazing views, and herds of American Bison!

Mt. Washington is the tallest mountain in the Northeast and the most prominent mountain East of the Mississippi. This is an ideal destination for hikers looking for beautiful trails and magnificent views of the region. In the winter, Mt. Washington can hold some of the most dangerous weather in the United States so make sure to bring your gloves!
